As the title says, this is just a little vent. It was either this or breaking down in tears alone in my room for about a week (a tempting alternative but not very practical). University has really been a lot hard for me so far. Meeting new people and making friends isn't exactly something I excel at in life so settling in has been hard. Before Christmas I was really starting to get  things right and feel comfortable up here but then I went home for the holidays. Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing familiar faces and spending time with my family for Christmas but now i have to re-adjust to being over 200 miles away and in a flat full of people

So I started uni about a month ago and I just thought I would share some of my experience so far. Moving in was certainly an experience I won’t soon forget, there were people everywhere (understandable since there were a lot of students moving into their rooms in the hall of residence) and you had an hour to move all your stuff from the car to you room then move the car (again, understandable since there was so many people but it wasn't so bad, I didn't bring a lot with me). Oh how I love to been in the water, its the one place I feel safe. In water my thoughts and worries just seem to melt away for me, In water I'm weightless and free, In water I can finally be myself and not hide who I really am inside, In water I am free from the sting of others words and let my paranoia subside. Oh how I wish I never had to leave this liquid haven, the only place I feel safe.
